Animal photography by sheer nature can sometimes be a challenge. In most cases you have to be at the right place at the right time to get the perfect image. I think that challenge is what I enjoy so much about animal photography. I enjoy the time it takes to get close enough to your subject to get the shots, and I enjoy it even more when whatever I am photographing will stick around for a while and let me share some time with it as it goes about its daily life. Being able to capture these natural moments is what makes the time spent worth it for me.
With my animal photography I take some calculated risks to get the shots. When most folks see what I do to get the shots, they usually think I’m nuts. For me however it is these images that I am usually the most happy with. They are the images that not a lot of people are willing to get. They are the images that will set me apart from the rest.
